Big Apple Calypso revue
Thought you would like to know that last evening's Special "Big Apple" Calypso Fund Raiser for the victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and Mississippi raised $8,500 and collected 5 Barrels of supplies.
Kudos to the Calypsonians Big "B", Black Stalin, Blackie, Bomber, Brown Boy, Dr. Witty, Duke, Funny, Gypsy, Johnny King, Poison Dart, Sexy Suzy, Short Shirt, Singing Sandra, Swallow and XPoser, Back-up Singers D'Revue Angels, The sunshine Band, Steelpan Virtuoso, Dave Gulson, M.C. De Wassy Man ......passin through, and M.C. Louis Antoine who all performed for free.
Special Kudos to BWIA for accommodating the travel needs of some of the performers..
Central Brooklyn Gulf State Relief Fund will be the conduit for getting the $8,500 to the victims.
